Austin Arrival

Once at the apartment it was pretty dark and we had a hard time figuring everything out. There were quite a few college students out and about and garbage all over the sidewalks, spewing from the trash cans. The house we parked in front of was a fraternity and had its yard covered in beer cans. We tried getting into our apartment building but we didn’t know the code. But someone walked out and so we went inside behind them. We went up to the 5th floor to our apartment number 509. However, we didn’t have a key. Brian checked the Airbnb directions a bit more and we figured out where to get the key. We had to go to the parking garage on another side of our building and find the correct key box out of a sea of key boxes, type in the code, and then we got our keys. Going back to the apartment building’s door, we tried typing in the code but it wouldn’t work. Then Brian realized there was a pound sign at the end of the code, and then the code worked for us. Then we went to move our car off the street and into our parking space in the parking garage. But it was a 7 foot clearance and our car was taller than that with the bag on it. So, we had to park in someone else’s spot and unload the bag, take it off the car, drive into our spot, and then we were able to start taking our things up to our apartment. Erika got very dizzy from going up and down the elevator so many times (only like 5, really), so we went inside for the night and resumed bringing our things inside the next morning.
